Any Good Recipe ?


We got this from the " Fisherman Village ". Dry-Prawn flesh. But, we dunno how to cook this boh ! ;D Just look amazed to me, especially. mum never cooked this before too.
so anyone ?

This is how the prawn was " Clean " & " Wash" & Dry under the sun. Was told by the stall lady that no perservative put on. so eat fast or fridge it.

Are you S or M ?

I know I have been posting a lot less frequently than I would like to lately. Nothing exciting unfortunately. How I wish, Day time at home, then Night time in the office. Then I will have more opportunites to blog cook & shoot pic & blog.

Just a quick one.
Are u a Sadist or Masochist?
In a workplace, it's more likely that (B)bosses = Sadist (S) , and staffs = Masochist (M). I'm not complaining my work, but u see, we enjoy suffer from B's sarcastic comments, work like cow, enduring B's lemony face... and then we get pay/paid by month end.

okay, my sis is back tomorrow, I am going to make chocolate pudding in a mug, broken glass, & many more! :D

Fridge - Cleaning


Today mum went up to her hometown - Papar. Dad went out to work.
HA! Parents not in the house. (sounds like Home Alone )
Fridge, spring-cleaning time. Our fridges need to clean (detox) every week ,I should say! Too much of junks in the cold box. No one even notice they actually bought this, but never used that before! And worse is, it has gone to expiry. This same goes to freezer. So many frozen meat tat u can tell from plastic that it has stored for more than a month! I THROW IT!

A lot of half-used things , like cheese, sauces , all gone bad, Apple cut half, left another half in the fridge for dunno how many weeks, rotten now! Vegetables! Dunno in my fridge for how long, turned into like…, u can’t even can recognize that it WAS a vegetable! and here u go, all gone bad. THROW!

Chinese herbs! Omg.. so many packs of red-dates that have opened, but its like used a bit, then ha, see another good red-dates in the market, too cheap or too fresh? Can’t resist buying another pack and store in the fridge. But never realize there are still many un-finished dates in the fridge! So today I have thrown 3 packets of red-dates!!!!!!! (Bcuz they all dried up in the fridge, and shrunk.)

There are 3-4 bags of unfinished cooked-rice in my fridge!!!!!!! I know, mum usually packs the leftover rice after dinner into a plastic bag. Then put into fridge. I know she wanted to dry the rice under the sun on the next day… but, she always forgotten that! And that is why, there are so many bags in the fridge, which I “dig’ them from the very “inside” of the fridge! CAN U IMAGINE? So many unwanted food in the fridge???????

That is why the rubbish big so huge! And funniest thing is, it’s 10.4kG! OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG…………………………………………..
And those rubbish are only from 1 fridge. My house has 3 fridges. I don’t even want to think of it.

HELP

Abnormal Sleeping Hours
Wednesday nite, I slept at 7:15pm , until 6am in the morning, almost 11 hours! ( in fact 6:55pm I already felt so sleepy! But I just make it to 7, at least not too bad! Ok, I know , my friends start yelling at me already, 7pm probably some people just about to start their dinner! Horrible horrible..

Thursday, I slept at 10pm. Ok Finally! A normal sleeping hour. I forced myself to sleep at 10am okay! Otherwise , again 7pm I feel like lying on bed again.

To kill the hours from 7 pm ~ 10pm, I practiced my CHIFFON CAKE again.

This is the 2nd time I baked the same chiffon. Ok, Don’t call it Chiffon . my cake has not reached to Chiffon texture yet! It’s from BUTTER to SPONGE…hopefully next is Chiffon!





That 2 pictures were my 1st batch of Orange Chiffon Cake. Taste like cotton. Mum eats it , eventhough it's failed. The texture still soft, but so dense! & short ! like my cake has pressed all the air OUT !

When my 1st Chiffon cake come out, my goodness, I felt thoroughly disappointed. Felt like given up ! my Chiffon Didn’t rise! Immediately I came out lots of “ WHYs” in my mind!


my OVEN?!!??!?!?! -> this is my major concern! Becuz if to buy a good one, cost like OMG…so I better practice the above five steps.

Orange Chiffon Cake (from Alice's page)
8" Tin
Ingredients:
egg yolk 70g (estimated 4 nos)
sugar 40g
oil 60g
orange juice 30g
water 60g
grated orange peel

flour 110g
Baking powder 1/2 t

Egg white 150g (estimated 5 nos)
sugar 70g
salt 1/4 t ( I replaced with cream of tartar)

Bake at 180 for 20 minutes, then reduced to 160C for 20-25 minutes.
(the contain of oil & water are greater, hence needs to bake slightly longer)

2nd Batch
So this time, I make sure everything is alright. The recipe says, bake 20 minutes at 180C, then reduce to 160C at another 20 – 25 minutes. Ok I put my cake to the top level, because I choose my oven’s heat to come out from the Bottom. Any problem? ( U can choose bottom, top or heat from both side, but I choose heat from bottom only) My cake rose very very beautiful at the first 20 minutes. But when I turned to 160c for the next 20 minutes, it started to fall…..WHY? Anyone?” pls So when I took out my cake, the bottom part didn’t really rise well & a bit burnt. I did check b4 i took out the cake, it springs back, like how u pinch ur tight now! HAHA but this time the top part bit like cotton already, I mean like Sponge. But still not Chiffon ‘s texture! WHY WHY WHY ?

Denise the Hermit Crab

Eddie gave me this article, and said that's how Hermit Crab defines a person. I think that's exactly or best describe the current ME , Denise.

Everyone in this earth whom actually know me will say what? U GO OUT ??? U ACTUALLY GO OUT FROM UR HOUSE ? Yes! I hate Socializ-ing . A very tired event for me ! I'm bias. I m not only a finicky eater, but also fussy/picky with choosing groups. In another words, I sometimes dont even go out with my very best own friends, HA! true or not monster cream??ok i dun wan to talk much, else ppl start throwing eggs on me!

I just prefer to stay at home, hang out with my own family or ground-ed myself in the Kitchen! Yes I love my Kitchen ! One day If I have my own house, my Kitchen is my 1st priority for major investment, 2nd would be my Washroom, then my bedroom. Why washroom ? HA! haha, share with u all next time.

yeah my kitchen, I can spend the whole day, from 8 am until NIGHT in the kitchen. but lately i found myself too much of activities in the kitchen and got myself so exausted & less resting.. and ended up with continuously 2 weeks fallen a sick. I was bascially fed myself with antibiotics & penicillin which was thoroughly got my body even worn-out. I m even more weak after the recovering stage ! sO i decided to take good rest for 4 weeks time without going-into kitchen.

and that shall explain why no food posts until further notice ;D
