Spring Onion Pancake 葱油饼

A savoury flatbread infused with oil & minced green onions.

Ingredients
250 g plain flour
1 tablespoon cooking oil ( I subsitute with sesame oil)
3 tablespoon minced spring onion
1 bowl water
salt to seasons

Methods

Pour plain flour into the big bowl, add in water, mix well until becomes a soft dough. Knead the dough into a small round shape, then roll it out until flat .. sprinkle the salt on top, spread some cooking oil , and sprinkle some minced spring onion, then roll it into swiss roll shape. Knead the swiss roll dough into flat again & ready to pan-fry with little oil until golden brown.

(Pictures = 1000 words .... if u're to lazy read the methods ;D)

Verdict: Wow! Crispy ! like Roti-Canai oh... I feel Like I m the tukang Roti-Canai in one of the Malay shop when I m pan-frying it... HAhahahhahha
Would be nice if next time subsitute onion with garlic chives 韭菜 .... then become another
韭菜 油饼 ... or even subsitute with 豆沙, and become a Chinese dessert called red bean pancakes (豆沙鍋餅) where the green onions and salt are replaced with a sweet red bean paste.
