Pavlova

This fruit meringue dish was created for Anna Pavlova, whom was a famous Russian ballerina.
Anna Matveyevna Pavlova (1881-1931), toured both Australia and New Zealand in 1926 and Australia again in 1929. There is a controversary with both Australia and New Zealand. While it has been suggested this dessert was created in New Zealand, it has also become recognized as a popular Australian dish. Both countries claim to have invented this dessert and claim it as their national dish. and..this desert was started in Hotel Esplanade of Perth.
* I knew karen HATE this! she says, Lamington is a piece of SHIT! and Pavlova is even worse! AHhahahahhahahhahahha..... *

Anna Matveyevna Pavlova (1881-1931)

I love this pav!!! No eggy smell.. crisp & melts in my mouth~*DroOL*

Ingredients
2 egg whites
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/4 cup fine sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup whipping cream
fruits to decor

Methods

Line a cookie sheet.
Whisk the egg whites & cream of tartar until stiff. Gradually beat in sugar & vanilla ex. Until glossy & stiff.
Drop 1 spoon of cream, deflate the center by using the side of spoon ,so, looks like it's slightly raised at the edges & a center well is formed.
Bake at 125C about 1 1/2 hours until dry outside but soft & chewy inside! If u like a bit crispy, bake longer.
Before serving, whip the cream, spoon on the meringue & decor with fruits!
Present to ur luv ones! pavLOvA ...(Luv Ya)

terri: surprisingly mine no egg-smell! As compare to those i ve eaten , strong telur smell!! may be, one of the reasons is, i baked it long, until the whole thing crisp, but not hard.

YA! my fren karen, last time she used to work wif one of the resort in GoldCoast, for 3 yrs + under Banquets! so she is sick of seeing lam + pav nowadays! everytime hotel will serve these 2 items...ahhahahahhaha....she will show me a "throw-up" sign whenever i mentioned these 2 dessert.
